Aetio-pathological study of postoperative ventral abdominal wall hernias with special references to its repair with shoe-lace darn method” – dissertation for the degree of M.S.(General Surgery), University of Calcutta, India, 1998-2001. I prospectively followed up 42 patients who had “shoe-lace darn repair” of incisional hernias at the NRS Medical College & Hospital for 2 years and analysed the results in terms of aetiology, pathology and advantages and disadvantages of different methods of repair.
