Personal Statement
I am a General Surgeon with broad-based experience, with a particular specialist interest in laparoscopic benign upper gastrointestinal (UGI) surgery. I obtained my primary medical qualification and completed my surgical training in Calcutta, India.
I have been working in the UK since 2002 across a range of surgical specialties and was admitted to the GMC Specialist Register for General Surgery on 5th November 2021. Since 2019, I have been serving as a Consultant General and Emergency Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey.
I am the Clinical Lead for Surgical Same Day Emergency Care, where I have developed and implemented care pathways to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of treatment for emergency surgical patients.
