About SM General Surgery
SM General Surgery is a private practice offering specialist surgical treatments and was started in 2023.
It is run by Mr Sumit Midya, who is a Consultant General and Emergency Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital, specialising in laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal surgery. He is the Clinical Lead for Surgical Same Day Emergency Care and holds multiple FRCS qualifications, along with a Master’s degree in Evidence-Based Healthcare from University College London (UCL).
He combines extensive NHS consultant experience with private practice, offering patients safe, ethical, and high-quality surgical care tailored to individual needs.
